About

A database company built the AI layer.

Not the other way round. NocoDB has been running production data inside Bosch, Walmart and Amex since long before anyone typed a prompt into it. That track record is why we can promise what NocoAI builds is yours to keep.

Two names

NocoAI builds it. NocoDB runs it.

NocoDB is the platform: real tables on a real database, with views, forms, workflows, permissions and an API. Tens of thousands of teams run it, a good number of them on their own servers.

NocoAI is how you get there now. You describe the thing you need in a sentence and it builds the base, the fields, the views and the app, then hands you a normal NocoDB workspace, editable by hand, with nothing locked behind the prompt that made it.

We split the names because “database” sets the wrong expectation for what this now does. Nobody wants a database. They want the thing the database is for.

What we won't trade away

Three commitments that predate the AI.

They're the reason the AI is worth using: it produces something that survives us.

Your data stays yours

Run NocoDB on your own infrastructure and we never see a row of your data. Use our cloud instead and you can still take everything with you, schema, records and attachments included, because it's a plain database underneath.

The source is readable

63,000 stars' worth of people have looked at how this works. Fair-code means anyone can read the source, run it, fork it and audit it. The only thing you can't do is resell it as a hosted service.

AI that hands over the keys

Plenty of AI tools generate an app you can't take apart. What NocoAI builds is an ordinary NocoDB base: every table, field, view and workflow editable by hand afterwards, by someone who has never heard of us.

Small, and mostly in the code.

The roadmap is a public issue tracker.

Bugs, feature requests and arguments about field types, all in the open. Come and have one.

So, what do you want to build?

One sentence is enough to start. Free, no credit card, and the base it builds is yours to keep.
